Value Creation Process
Spectrum EHS has a rather unique approach to compliance which sets us apart from other consulting firms. We focus on “strategies” that add “value” for our clients, not additional “regulatory burden”. The Spectrum EHS Value Creation ProcessTM is specifically designed to deliver this value in 8 Unique Stages that are integrated in a manner that provides a continuous cycle of improvement. The stages of this cycle are customized to meet our client’s individual needs, which allows are clients to focus on their core business while we assist them in achieving their EHS compliance goals.
Our Value Creation Process is designed to enable our client to achieve three primary objectives:
- Avoid Their Most Threatening Dangers
- Seize Their Most Important Opportunities, and
- Reinforce Their Most Powerful Strengths
The Spectrum EHS
Value Creation Process (Vcp)™
The Spectrum EHS Value Creation Process (VCP)TM is a turn-key management system for EHS Compliance, designed to deliver a world class experience for our clients through eight (8) unique stages. The value-added strategies and benefits of the VCPTM are summarized as follows:
STAGE 1 – The Clear View: This first stage of the VCPTM begins with a simple interview designed to gain a “clear understanding” of your goals and objectives, followed by a summary letter documenting the findings. The Clear View becomes a “road map” for ensuring that we meet your expectations while focusing on any dangers/obstacles you want to avoid, any opportunities you want to capture, and any strengths you want to reinforce.
STAGE 2 – The Compliance Snapshot: This second stage of the VCPTM is a bench-marking activity for determining the status of compliance at your facility, sort of like a “snapshot” of where you are right now. This information will position us for identifying the strategic solutions in Stage 3. And since each industry-sector has a unique set of compliance needs, this stage helps us better understand your core business. After all, the better we understand your business the more value we can add.
STAGE 3 – The Strategic Game Plan: This third critical stage of the VCPTM involves the creation of value-added strategies and solutions for our clients in the form of a Strategic Game Plan. For example, Stage 3 will identify strategies for minimizing your regulatory burden, reducing your EHS liability (civil/criminal fines & penalties), reducing employee accidents and injuries, minimizing spills and environmental violations, and ultimately reducing your EHS compliance costs.
STAGE 4 – PAC-Track SystemTM: The Permit and Compliance Tracking SystemTM (PAC-Track SystemTM) is a calendar based software package designed to monitor compliance deadlines & requirements. As you may have experienced, one or two “citations” from a regulatory agency can lead to significant monetary fines and penalties. Our PAC-Track System ensures that nothing “falls through the cracks” by providing a detailed scope-of-work and periodic reminders on a monthly, quarterly, annual and even triennial basis.
STAGE 5 – TEACH Services: Part of our mission at Spectrum EHS is to Train, Educate, Advise, Counsel & Help (TEACH) our clients toward success in any way possible. Spectrum EHS provides a variety of classroom and hands-on training/qualification programs as well as on-site technical support, phone/email support, and various other services to train and educate our clients. We also have a Training Syllabus for each training course we offer, identifying the regulatory drivers, prerequisite training, course objectives and other useful details.
STAGE 6 – Sci-pHy Solutions: This stage of the VCPTM involves the more technical Scientific & Physical (Sci-Phy) Solutions offered by Spectrum EHS, including wastewater treatment plant oversight and troubleshooting, field sampling and analytical work, certified laboratory oversight, site assessments, environmental impact studies, EHS compliance audits and inspections, and other professional services.
STAGE 7 – The Document Library: Over the past 22 years, Spectrum EHS has developed and accumulated an abundance of compliance documentation to assist our clients. And we maintain a secure Electronic Document Library of all the reports, letters, compliance manuals, guidance documents and other documentation prepared for our clients. These electronic files are catalogued and organized “by compliance program” in a hierarchy of folders and subfolders, which facilitate easy retrieval when needed for audits & compliance inspections. We will also provide a “scan and save” service for signed copies of important regulatory submittals.
STAGE 8 – The Success Monitor: Recognizing the importance of providing quality feedback to our clients, this final stage of the VCPTM is intended to communicate significant milestones and successes from this unique process. The Success Monitor is client-specific performance report designed to quantify any cost-savings strategies, liability reductions, efficiency improvements, and so on. Since the VCPTM is in many ways a continuous-cycle-of-improvement it is important to periodically stop and review the progress we’ve made!
